Banquet:

It is almost that time again for the end of season banquet. It will take place on Wednesday, November 8th from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at Desert Breeze Park, Mesquite Pavilion near the baseball fields. Dinner will be provided by Rigatony’s and will consist of salad, baked rigatoni, and bread. A vegetarian pasta option will be available. We will also have water and desserts. Everyone is welcome to attend whether eating or not. All athletes eat for free. Like last year, senior athletes are able to bring two guests for free. Cost for guests is $12/pp. More information and signup can be found here at the 2023 Banquet Dinner Registration. Please RSVP no later than Friday, November 3rd to allow us to get an accurate headcount. We look forward to seeing you!!

Practice tomorrow!

The boys and girls will be practicing at Crossroads Park tomorrow. This will be the location of the Sectional meet and we need to get on the course.
We will be providing transportation for those who need it. Athletes who drive are encouraged to drive themselves to Crossroads. We will be leaving Corona at 3pm and be leaving Crossroads between 5:15 and 5:30. Parents are welcome to pick up their child from the Park. However, we will be unable to wait for Parents who may be late for pickup, as we will need to get Athletes back to Corona.

Team picture day will be this Thursday October 19th at 3 PM. Please bring your uniforms as you will be turning them in after pictures unless you are running at sectionals.

Congratulations to all the athletes at Casteel Invitational! Hopefully everyone has been enjoying the cooler mornings! This upcoming week does not have any activities except regular practices for varsity athletes and all other runners who still want to join their teammates.

50/50 Raffle Fundraiser
Parents, there is still time! All the money raised through the 50/50 Raffle Fundraiser DIRECTLY supports the athletes. Outside sponsorship is down this year, so we are asking athletes raise a minimum of $100 through the 50/50 Raffle Fundraiser. There has been no fee paid to participate in XC and this fundraiser allows us to continue to support the athletes and coaches (team shirts, pasta dinners, entry fees, replacement items, snacks, banquet and more). Please reach out to friends, family, and more to support YOUR Corona Cross Country athlete and TEAM. The drawing will occur on Nov.1, 2023.

Wednesday, October 25th — Sectional Race, Varsity runners only. Details TBD.
Saturday, November 4th — State Meet, Varsity runners only. Details TBD.
Wednesday, November 8th — Team Banquet, Desert Breeze Park, Details TBD.
Saturday, November 18th — Nike Cross — optional race for the all athletes. Boosters support the entry fee into the race as well as provide singlets for the racers.

Booster Club:
There are open positions for the 2024 season. Please consider joining the Booster Club for the next season. It is a fun way to get involved with the team, meet other parents, and the athletes. If interested or have any questions please email pbrowski@yahoo.com

Here is the information for the Casteel Invitational this Friday, 10/13 at Mansel Carter Oasis Park.

Bus departs Corona at 6:15 am SHARP. All athletes are expected to arrive by 6:00 am.

Boys 9:00 am
Girls 9:02 am

REMINDER: If you choose to take your athlete home after the race, you must call the school to excuse them for the remainder of the day.
