As I’m sure everyone has heard. The district has shut down call on campus practices. Coach Smith and I are still allowed to give workouts to Athletes as we have been doing the past few weeks. As I hear more information and dates, I will communicate with everyone. Keep working Athletes!

Corona Girls XC, Training Information

Posted by Brian Crane at Jun 27, 2020 4:19PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Hi all!

It was great to see many of our athletes this past Thursday. I wanted to clarify a few things for the Girl’s side of Cross Country for summer training:

The TUHSD is still in Level 1 for summer training. Which means, a Certified trainer MUST take the temperature of each athlete before they practice with others on campus. Cross Country is waiting to train as a team at Corona until the District is at Level 2. This has been decided by the Athletic Director and Coach Smith and I.

1. The Girls ARE NOT required to train with a specific group, or at any specific location. This is entirely up to the Athlete and their parent. If the Athlete AND OR Parent is uncomfortable with this, it is entirely their choice.

2. There will be no penalty for Athletes who train by themselves. Again, it is up to the individual and their parents.

3. If an Athlete needs help finding a group to workout with, I am more than happy to help with that.

I will be texting out the workout this evening to all the girls. Ideally they will start this program this coming Monday. I encourage all parents and athletes to contact me with any questions or concerns about the training.

I hope this helps clear any question up. If you need anything, please email me: sdaztecs92115@yahoo.com

GO AZTECS!!!!

Hi all!

We are changing the start time of our meeting tomorrow to 6:15. We still will be meeting by the track!

ALL XC Athletes need to go to the main gym and check in with the trainer to get their temp checked (District Policy). Face masks are required! The change in time is due to a conflict with Freshman Football. See you tomorrow!

Any questions, please contact us.

Plan for next week

Posted by Corona Del Sol Cross Country at Jun 20, 2020 10:15AM PDT ( 1 Comment )

Unfortunately, due to the spike in Covid we still can’t practice next week. However, Coach Smith and I have a plan. We are going to meet with all of the cross country athletes (that are available) this coming Thursday at 6:00 p.m. We will meet on campus by the track All athletes will need to get their temperature taken by the training staff in order to meet with us. Masks are required.

We are going to be setting up peer work out groups. This is not required but highly suggested. It is up to parent discretion whether they want their child to participate in these workouts with other athletes on the team.

Please attend if you can, we will be socially distancing. Please make sure you leave immediately after our meeting and do not hang around campus. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask.
