Practice will be at 6:30am tomorrow morning!

Hello All!

The Desert Twilight Invitational is coming up next Friday. With the importance of this meet, practice is MANDATORY next week for ALL ATHLETES if they want to compete at Twilight.

Practice next week will be as follows:
M – 6pm
Tu – 5:10am for Varsity, 3pm for all others
W – 6pm
Thu – 3pm

The bus leaves at 2:30pm SHARP on Friday afternoon.

Practice for tonight, Wednesday and tomorrow, Thursday will begin at 6pm. We are losing too much daylight and need to start practice thirty minutes earlier.

We have an opportunity to staff a food tent at Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 12, from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. (the late shift). In consideration of our volunteers, Oktoberfest will make a donation to the booster club.

The Armijos have graciously offered to head up this effort. We know that this is during fall break and also on a holiday for some, but we are looking for additional athletes and a couple of additional parents to volunteer. We need a total of 15 and we have 3 right now.

Since both entities are nonprofits, athletes can also log volunteer hours. Tempe Sister Cities is a great local organization and this might be a good way for students to learn about the exchange program.
