News and Announcements

Here is the information for the CdS XC time trial. It will be 6am, this Saturday at the Warner canal. Athletes will arrive at the time trial location not Campus as we have done in previous years. There is no physical address, so here are the coordinates: 33°20’07.4"N 111°56’33.7"W

If you cut and paste the coordinates into Google Maps, the directions will take you there. All returning Athletes will know where this is.

The time trial will be a 2 mile out and back at the Warner Canal. Coach Smith and I are NOT using these times to decide who is on Varsity. Varsity will be determined after our 1st meet at the Chandler Invitational. The format of the Chandler Invite is: athletes run against their own class.

Information from Parent Meeting

Posted by Corona Del Sol Cross Country at Aug 19, 2021 10:18AM PDT

For those that were unable to attend the Parent Meeting last night, here are the key takeaways that require parents attention:
1. TeamPages
2. $75 donation
3. Tax Credit donation
4. No cost fundraising
5. Volunteer

1. Ways to stay informed are listed on page 2. TeamPages is the place to find all the information needed for the season. Schedules, upcoming events, practice times, changes to schedules, events or practice times, location of meets, times the kids need to be at school to take the bus to the meets and more are all found on TeamPages. Make sure you are signed up to get this vital information.
2. We receive very little assistance from the District for Cross Country. The Boosters Club fills in those gaps. To be able to support the team for the season, we are requesting that each family contribute a minimum of $75 to the Boosters Club. This can be paid via Zelle to coronadelsolxc@gmail.com, check made out to Corona Cross Country Boosters Club or cash. Cash and check can be put in an envelope and handed in at practice to the Coaches. Please make your contribution by Saturday, Sept. 4. The Boosters strive to make the season an enjoyable one for the team.
3. Tax Credit Donation to Corona Cross Country — Please consider making a tax credit donation. This is a win-win for you and the team. The District only pays for two coaches. We have two incredible assistant coaches, Coach Steph and Coach Walker. Tax credit money pays their costs. Please make sure that you select Corona Cross Country Tax Credit as there are many options.
4. Other no cost fundraising: If you shop at Fry’s, link your card to Corona Cross Country. Sign up for Benefit mobile and purchase mobile gift cards (super easy). When you order from Amazon, use Amazon Smiles and link to Corona Cross Country Boosters.
5. Volunteer — Please consider volunteering to help out the Boosters at meets, with the banquet and more. The more help we get, the smoother everything goes. Plus, certain companies will match employee volunteer hours with a monetary donation to our Boosters Club (we are a non-profit).

Please join us for our parent meeting as we will be going over expectations for the season. Start time is 6pm as overall fall sports meeting with the AD Roxanne Perrin has been cancelled. Masks are required in the auditorium.
