We hope you are enjoying the 1st few days of Summer Break.

Here is the info for Corona Cross Country Summer Training, 2021:

First off, Summer Training for XC is highly encouraged for all Athletes ESPECIALLY for those interested in being a Varsity runner. A running base is extremely important for a Cross Country runner to have a successful season!

Summer Training will begin June 7th and continue through the summer. We realize Athletes may be going on vacation but they are expected to run with us when they are in town.

We will be meeting Monday-Thursday at 6am – 7:30ish at Corona by the tennis courts. Length of training will vary as the summer progresses. We will also meet for our long runs off campus at 5:30am. The following locations will be used: South Mountain, Papago Park, and Tumbleweed Park. These may rotate during training and will be communicate via teampages. We will not meet on Friday or Sunday.

The cost for XC Summer Training will be $150.

Campers are responsible for their own transportation to/from Flagstaff and we expect to have numerous carpools available.

Come join your coaches and fellow athletes in Flagstaff, June 22-25 (3 nights), for an opportunity to run in cooler temperatures and team building. Registration is now open for the 2021 Aztec High Altitude Camp, sponsored by Corona Cross Country Boosters Club. Registration is first come, first serve for a total of 18 participants (9 boys/9 girls). A wait list will be started after we receive 18 registrations. This limitation is due to us not being able to stay at NAU this year as they restricted the use of their facilities to participants older than 16. Don’t delay as the registration deadline is Friday, May 30th.

We are still well short of our 40 volunteers that we need for Rugged Maniac @ Wild Horse Pass Motorway (very close) on May 22. The few hours spent volunteering earns money that directly benefits the athletes. Family and friends are welcome to help. Sign up through the link for us to get credit.

In person racing is coming back and we have the opportunity to earn money for our team by providing volunteers at the upcoming Rugged Maniac Phoenix race on Saturday, May 22 at Wildhorse Pass. So far, we only have 6 registered volunteers! Thank you to those 6 who have signed up already. For each volunteer, we will earn $10 by giving our time to the running community. This is an easy way for us to earn money for our team; no selling or soliciting family or friends.
