Parent Meeting Follow-Up
If you were unable to make the parent meeting last week, please download the attached parent handout and read through the information. We ask parents for a $20 donation per athlete to help cover snack/meal costs throughout the season. That is it for fundraising! The donation can be brought to practice this Friday, or to the pasta dinner next Friday.

We had a black ThermoFlask left on the table where we were selling t-shirts after the parent meeting. If it is yours, please contact Kristi at kristijohn@hotmail.com.

Sole Sports Discount Night!!
Sole Sports will be having a special discount night on Wednesday for Corona Cross Country. They will offer a 20% discount on all store items except Garmin watches, which will be 10% off. Stop by from 5pm to 8pm to get new training shoes, racing flats or clothing. Sole Sports has always been a big supporter of Corona Cross Country and we are fortunate to have such a great running store close by. Please show them your gratitude by giving them your business.

Team Pasta Dinners
We are still looking for two families to host a team dinner at their home (in their backyard). The boosters will buy all the food, cook the food and clean up before leaving. They will bring tables, chairs and anything else you might need. It is a fun time for the kids and the booster parents as well. If you are interested in hosting a dinner on September 14th or 21st, please contact Vicki Montana at vbmontana@me.com. We will have a sign-up soon for volunteers to help cook and serve.

Tax Credit Reminder
Please consider giving a tax credit donation to Corona Cross Country. This money is used to pay for 2 of our coaches. Please direct your money to the GIRLS team this year, even if you have a boy. Chandler Invite
The Chandler Invitational on Saturday, September 7th will be our first meet of the season. There are Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior races at this meet. More information and times on all of our meets can be found at https://www.athletic.net/CrossCountry/School.aspx?SchoolID=14012.

Parent Meeting Tuesday
The Fall Sports Parent Meeting and the Cross Country Parent Meeting will be held in the Corona Auditorium starting at 6pm on Tuesday. We strongly encourage all parents to attend to find out any new information for the season. The booster club will be selling t-shirts, car decals and other miscellaneous items in the lobby following the meeting. We will also be asking for a $20 donation per athlete to help cover snack/beverage costs during the season.

Tuesday Practice
Due to the parent meeting in the evening, practice on Tuesday will be after school at 2:45.

Swim Party on Saturday the 24th!
Every year we kick off the cross country season with a team pool party. The Montana’s have generously offered up their home once again. The party will go from 4 to 7pm this coming Saturday. Pizza, drinks and snacks will be provided by the boosters. Bring your swimsuit and towel and have some fun! The address will be emailed out later this week.

Pasta Dinners – Host Families Needed
Another tradition is our pasta dinners before the Saturday meets. We will be having these on Sept. 6th, 13th and 20th (all Friday nights). We are looking for families who are willing to host the event. The boosters buy all the food, come to your house and cook/serve, then clean up after. The dinners run from 6-8pm. There are usually about 35 to 40 kids and they eat in the backyard. We can provide extra tables and chairs if needed. Cross Country Parents,

We are getting ready to order our team t-shirts for the athletes. Every athlete will receive their t-shirt paid for by the booster club, and we will get their sizes from them at practice. We offer parents/other family members the opportunity to order t-shirts as well. Due to the late date of the parent meeting, we need to get our numbers in this week. We may be able to add more later, but that is not guaranteed.

The t-shirts this year are black performance t-shirts in both men’s and women’s sizes. You can see the front design in the attached picture. The back will say “AZTECS” in orange. They are $12 each (2XL and up add $2). The sizes available are listed below:

Men’s S – 6XL
Women’s XS – 3XL

If you would like to order a t-shirt, please email us at coronadelsolxc@gmail.com ASAP with the following information:

Parent name
Athlete name
Phone number (in case we have questions)
Quantity, style(men’s or women’s) and size information

You can pay at the parent meeting or arrange to pay when you receive the shirt, but we would like to have an idea of how many shirts to order.* Remember, this is only for family members – the athletes will have their t-shirts ordered by the booster club.* This is also a different order than the BSN shop that you received an email about earlier in the week.
