State Meet
Congratulations to all of the varsity runners at the State Meet!  The boys team did great and took 4th place overall.  Mia had a great showing in the girl’s race as well.  Kristi has uploaded some pictures from the boy’s race, but unfortunately had to leave right away and did not get pictures of the girl’s race.  If you were there and have pictures, please upload them to the team website.
Varsity runners, please turn in your team uniforms this week!

Practice Schedule
There will be practice on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday if you are planning to run at Nike Cross.  Normal place and time on Mon & Wed.  Saturday time TBD.

Banquet, November 16th
The banquet is fast approaching and we need to know who is coming!  Registration and payment must be in by this Thursday, Nov. 9th so that we can order the food.  

ALL ATHLETES, whether you can attend or not, should RSVP on the website using the Banquet Registration form.  If you are bringing additional guests, you can pay online with PayPal, or mail your payment to Betty Phillips (information is on the form).  Remember, athletes eat for free!

NOTE:  WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING PAYMENT AT THE DOOR.  YOU MUST PRE-PAY.

Hot Chocolate Volunteering
We still have 16 openings for volunteers at the Hot Chocolate Race on December 3rd.  In addition to having loads of fun and earning $10 per person for Corona XC, you also get a nice-quality sweatshirt just for volunteering!  Click here to sign up.  Family and friends are welcome to join us.

Corona Cross Country Boosters Club

State Meet
Congratulations to the boys team and Mia for qualifying for state. State Meet is Saturday, Nov. 4 at Cave Creek Golf Course. Boys are scheduled to run at 12:15pm and Girls at 1:05pm. Information on athletic.net

Banquet
The banquet is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 16 at 6pm. You can register on the website. There is a $1 transaction fee, or you can mail in or drop off the form (attached) with payment.

We need parent help in preparing for the banquet. We will meet at Vicki Montana’s home at 3pm on Nov. 12. Please email us at coronadelsolxc@gmail.com to let us know you’ll be there and we’ll send the address. We’d love to see some new faces and the more people we have, the quicker it will be. Thank you!

Hot chocolate Run
Volunteer for the Hot Chocolate race here. We have 50 spots and will earn $10 for each spot. Parents and friends are welcome to sign up as well. We have typically worked Water Station #1 and have requested that again this year.

Summer Camp 2018
We are looking for parents to help plan our summer camp. If you are interested, please contact Kristi Johnson (kristijohn@hotmail.com). We need volunteers ASAP if we are going to have a camp this summer.

If you are planning to run in the Nike Cross Southwest Regional, you must be at practice on Monday. The coaches need to know who is participating so they can register. If you are absolutely unable to attend on Monday but still want to race, please make sure you have emailed/texted the coaches by practice tomorrow.

We are purchasing racing singlets and t-shirts only for those who are participating. The order will be placed on Tuesday, so make sure the coaches know that you are racing by Monday.

District Meet
Great job at the district meet. We apologize if you missed your child’s race; the scheduled changed from what was online. Feel free to upload pictures to the website (once you’re logged in). Make your own album, or use one that’s already there.

Practice Mandatory for Varsity
Varsity is mandatory to practice, but non-varsity is welcome to join to continue training for the Nike Cross Meet on Nov. 18. The meet is optional and we run as a club, not a school team. Kids will need to have their own ride to the meet in Casa Grande (same course as Desert Twilight).

Sectionals, Oct. 27
At Crossroads Park. Varsity runners only. Men run at 11:50, Women at 12:25. Information on athletic.net

Tempe City Championships
The district meet will be on Wednesday the 18th at Kiwanis Park. The start and finish will be on the north side of the lake, near the Ash Street parking lot off of Baseline. Race times are as follows:

2:30 – Boys & Girls Freshmen
3:00 – Girls JV
3:30 – Boys JV
4:00 – Girls Varsity
4:30 – Boys Varsity

Our usual photographer will not be at the early races, so please take photos and post them to the website if you are able.

Friday is Picture Day / Uniform Turn in for Non-Varsity
Please have your uniform on at the start of practice on Friday for pictures. Bring an extra set of clothing to change into, as all non-varsity runners will need to turn in their uniforms that day. Picture information will be handed out early this week at practice. Practices after this point will be optional for non-varsity runners.

for our end of season banquet on Thursday, November 16th at 6pm. Dinner will be provided by Rigatony’s. More information and registration coming in the next week.
